For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.” (1 Corinthians 15:53)ħ. “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. The heavens will disappear with a roar, the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and its works will be laid bare.” 2 Peter 3:10 “But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief. 2 Timothy 3:1 (KJV) “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.”ģ. 4 But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief.”Ģ. 3 While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 1 Thessalonians 5:2-4 (NIV) “for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. ![]() It is when the first heaven and earth will pass away, and God will create a new heaven and new earth (Revelation 21).ġ. It is when God will judge Satan and throw him into the Lake of Fire, when all the dead will be judged, and anyone whose name is not written in the Book of Life will also be cast into the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20). This is when Jesus returns in the clouds in glory, when the dead in Christ are resurrected, and along with living believers, meet Jesus in the air. The end times are the end of the world as we know it. ![]()
